We are a coalition of Christians of varying denominational backgrounds who are concerned that Christians better understand human rights, in particular how they apply practically to people in contemporary Australian society. We are concerned that the needs of neighbour, particularly the vulnerable, be the churches’ first priority in the debate about the role of human rights in Australia. We believe that Christians have a constructive role to play in discussions about human rights in a rapidly changing contemporary society.
